The challenge

To fit out new 19,000 sq ft premises for a leading transport planning, urban design and economics consultancy, reflecting its brand and its ethos.

Where they were

Founded in 1964 by Sir Colin Buchanan, this leading transport planning, urban design and economics consultancy was relocating to new premises in Paddington Basin, London. As part of the relocation, Colin Buchanan needed a fit out that would reflect its sustainable and environmentally friendly approach to its work, and, after a competitive tendering process, Opl was appointed principal contractor.

What we did

We worked alongside Colin Buchanan and a team of skilled subcontractors to deliver a fit out that would not only be an inspiring and practical place to work for its employees, but also highlighted its commitment to sustainability. The green interior reflects the importance they give to the environmental impact of their major transport infrastructure projects such as Crossrail in London.
