We expect our staff to act with honesty and integrity, be open and respect each others rights, customs and traditions both internally and externally. We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and also to play our part in the same for our clients. We ensure good communications are maintained with employees, clients and suppliers through effective information and consultation procedures. We also promote, encourage and sponsor our employees in realising their potential with appropriate training and life experiences.
The directors and staff are continually engaged in charity fund raising, voluntary work in the community and support youth development programmes as set out below:
- The Opl 3 Peaks Challenge raised £35,000 for the medical emergency relief charity MERLIN.
- Some Opl staff have extracurricular jobs such as Parish Councillors, financial advisors and sports coaches.
- Many staff participate in charity events such as the London Marathon, the Santa Dash and the Great North Run.
- Opl have provided its services free or at cost to many worthy charities setting up offices or refurbishing their premises including Haven Breast Cancer Care Clinic, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Pryors Bank Cafe for out of work ex-servicemen.
- Opl sponsors a youth development initiative called Next Generation which provides training, mentoring and finances for an adventurous expedition for 10 disadvantaged and unemployed young people each year.
- Opl is organising, leading and sponsoring an adventurous & scientific expedition in 2011 for up to 100 disadvantaged and out of work young people from the inner cities.
