Ignis

The challenge

To help Ignis employees to feel they were part of one company, both through physical space and by enhancing brand and user experience.

Where they were

Ignis, one of the UK's top asset management firms, had brought together several businesses under one brand. A lack of prestige and personality was causing significant problems not only in attracting and retaining staff, but also in attracting the right level of corporate client.

It had already begun the process of bringing staff under a centralised floorplate in the heart of the City with a new, BREEAM Excellent-rated building across one and a half floors at 150 Cheapside, and a high-specification design and build solution was required to do the building and the business justice.

What we did

Following a comprehensive workplace consultancy process, we developed a solution that fitted the brand and the complex needs of the employees working within the organisation. This included a central staircase to allow business conversations to be continued without leaving Ignis's space, and multi-use areas for meeting, working and relaxing. This created a look to impress clients and inspire talent.

"Our new premises are a true reflection of our business and offer visitors a first-class business lounge environment in which to relax and for our staff to conduct meetings. Opl's unique approach allowed our employees to have real input into the design concept, which has proved to be massively motivational for the team. We are absolutely thrilled with the results, we have a truly inspirational workplace, and it is especially impressive as the entire design and build programme took just 15 weeks."
